Happy happy happy happy happy anniversary

So, today is a momentous occasion. I have been seeing the guy I'm seeing for 6 months. Now, I know that some of you are saying "Pishaw! 6 months is nothing!" (if any of you actually ever say "pishaw" - I'm not sure of the spelling) and I don't think the guy I'm seeing thinks it's a big deal, having been with his last girlfriend for 5.5 years.

However, the significance here, is that 6 months is my new record for dating someone! To commemorate this, I've written a short poem to show my esteem.

Ode to Brian

Ode to Brian with hair of black
who along with me loves a delicious snack
Whenst first we met on an extreme free style walk
As you caught some mad air, my heart did stop
We've come 6 months amidst all the bustle
We've moved on to football from Kung Fu Hustle
Never did I think I'd find any guy who
likes to sing karaoke with me like you do...

his hair isn't black and you met him before the free-style walking...

But, I didn't really know him before the freestyle walking.

Nome,
Haven't been on for a while...with regards to your argumentative nature, consider it a social filter! Sorting the conversational wheat from the chaff and all that. Considering your forebearers I suppose it's not all that surprising actually. Keep getting in their faces and let everyone else figure out what to do with you...turn on that new camera of yours and turn it into your reality show! As far as hot peppers go, the study has been done in Texas...go for it! They've never been shown to cause any internal damage. Of course your plumbing may be another thing. Dad

It's obvious you have far too much free time since completing your thesis defense. Perhaps you should find a real job. After 6 months is Brian starting to realize why your other relationships have been short, maybe those other guys weren't as dumb as he thought to let you go.

Lois, that's awful!!! (funny comment, but not nice!) I think they're both enjoying each other a lot - there's always a lot of laughing when they're around :)

Okay perhaps that was a little harsh, I guess I should be congratulating Brian for being interesting and charming enough to keep Naomi interested for 6 months, something no other man has been able to do. I guess that must be the case since Naomi has always been the dumper and not the dumpee except for that one unfortunate email incident that we won't mention.

I think email is perhaps a little bit better than a text message...

nomes,
I thought that the poem was great! Can't wait to meet him although he is probably fearing the day he is officially exposed to our family. Yipes! Glad I finally found the site!

Yeah, especially if he ever reads any of our mother's comments on here...
